Vanity turned doll canopy bed.

My sister gave me a vanity for my daughter. The problem: my daughter is 10 months old. So after taking it apart for storage I noticed that by flipping the foot pegs and the decorative hole plugs on the top, and omitting the glass, it becomes the foundation for the canopy bed of my dreams!

Treat Bags

Personalize your treat bags for any party!!

I absolutely LOVE the idea of personalizing every aspect of a party. We will be celebrating my daughter, Lydia's 1st birthday in October, but it is never too early to start.
I used my Cricut to cut out the banner, heart, and crown.
The doilies are leftover from my wedding seed bags (you will see those in a later post).
I hand lettered the name with a Sharpie pen because it dries really fast and doesn't smudge.
The cellophane treat bags were a super bargain at Goodwill's Easter Clearence, and I picked up two packs of 20 for less than $1.00!

Baby layout

While I was pregnant I would tend to bore easily. One of the things that kept me busy was preparing pages to have on hand after the many newborn pictures started rolling in. The lettering was by hand, there is stitching from a vintage Singer sewing machine and I stamped the baby buggy and the shadowing on the corners. Alas, it is still empty, and waiting for the most perfect picture(s) to fill the spaces.

My Family as Babies!

I am excited to debut my newest project My Family as Babies: a scrapbook of, well, my family as babies. All of which will lead into my baby's scrapbook. Yes, that means I am a mother to be!! I have 5 months to compile such a book, before my life becomes completely revolved around my little ball of joy.
I came across these amazing photos of my grandpa (on my mom's side), his mother, and his older brother.
